Summary: Bittersweet Seddie poem, Sam-centric. Please R&R!

	His Chocolate Eyes

**A/N: I had to write a poem for English class for Valentine's Day, and I realised how much my poem suited Seddie :) so I decided to post it here. It's slightly AU at points, as it wasn't based on Seddie when I was writing it, so please excuse that.**

Love hurts.
You've been taught that from a very young age
By your mother, who divorced from your father
When you were but 3 years old.

You learned everything you knew from your mom,
Which is why, from the oh-so-early age of 3
You've always had your guard up around boys.
''All they'll do is break your heart''
This message has been imbedded in your mind
Right up until now, at 15 years of age.

You remember the first time you met him
Only two years ago
You ignored him, was rude, and when
He tried to talk to you, you snapped at him
You've had nightmares about the hurt
Shining in those chocolate brown eyes
Ever since.

Those two years flew by
You both grew, matured,
And little by little you found yourself
Growing closer to him,
Inexplicably being drawn closer to him-
But, of course, its not inexplicable;
You know exactly what's happening
You're just terrified of what might happen.

'Might,' 'If,' 'But,'
It's the uncertainty of it all
That you're afraid of.

Your short, awkward, often-interrupted-by-other-people conversations
Slowly but surely develop
Into something more.

Gradually, you find yourself able
To talk to him about anything and everything
He becomes your number one confidante.

You can often feel that 'something more'
Fluttering like butterflies in your stomach.

But, you can always see
The ghost of wariness
In his chocolate eyes.
And it hurts.
But you always knew love hurts,
Didn't you?
